Membership Contract Terms & Conditions

Definitions: "Go-Gym" "us" "we" and "our" means Go-Gym Ltd; "Member" "you" and "your" means the member named overleaf: "Home Club" means the Go-Gym club names on your membership application form.

These terms and conditions constitute a membership contract between you and us.

1. Membership

1.1 Full members must be 16 or over. Junior members must be 12 to 15 and be accompanied by an over 18 parent or guardian.

1.2 You agree to the terms and conditions when you accept the Declaration in the sign-up process.

1.3 Your membership is exclusive to you and cannot be transferred under any circumstances. The sharing of your PIN number will result in immediate cancellation of your membership and a ban from the use of the club/clubs. If you believe the security of your PIN number has been compromised it is your duty to inform us.

2. Fees and Charges – Day Members

2.1 Use of the gym is only valid on the day of the payment. Payment of the fee is non-refundable.

2.2 Payment for a day membership is a one off payment.

3. Fees and Charges – Monthly Members

3.1 The initial month's membership is taken by credit card, debit card or PayPal and payment will be taken when you sign up. Future monthly payments will continue to be taken off your debit/credit card, via direct debit or via your PayPal account.

3.2 Payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.

3.3 If payments are defaulted, including if any Direct Debits are returned unpaid we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £20.

3.4. All monthly memberships are recurring, with payments made each month either automatically by debit/credit card, Paypal or via direct debit.

4. Cancellation – Monthly Members

4.1 To cancel your membership, sent us a cancellation email to info@go-gym.co.uk at least 2 weeks in advance. In addition, please cancel your direct debit at the bank or cancel your recurring payment with PayPal. Please state the name you registered with when emailing to cancel.

4.2 Once you have been cancelled you will still be able to use the gym for the remainder of the time you have paid for.

4.3 You should always notify Go-Gym via email of your cancellation. Failure to notify Go-Gym 2 weeks in advance may result in payments still being taken.

4.4 We reserve the right to terminate your membership, upon giving you notice, if we believe:

a. Your behaviour within the gym is unreasonable and antisocial
b. Your actions within the gym put you, other gym members or staff at risk
c. Miss-use of PIN number – this will result in immediate cancellation of your membership

5. Lump sums – six and twelve month memberships

5.1 The payment for a six or twelve month membership is taken by credit card, debit card or PayPal

5.2 The payment is a one off and not a recurring payment

5.3 Payments are non-refundable under any circumstances

6. Multiple payment options

6.1 If paying by direct debit, please note that ---------Go Gym Ltd------- has appointed the BACS Approved Direct Debit Bureau, Eazy Collect Services Limited (www.eazycollect.co.uk), to collect your payments and Eazy Collect will be shown on your bank statement.

6.2 If setting up a recurring debit/credit card or recurring Paypal payment -------Go Gym Ltd------- has appointed PayPal to collect your payments.

7. Gym Etiquette

7.1. You agree to wear appropriate footware and clothing at all times within Go-Gym.

7.2. You agree to put back all the equipment you have used whilst working out within Go-Gym.

7.3. You agree to wipe all sweat off of equipment after you have used it within Go-Gym

8. Exercise Participation and Inductions

8.1. You are aware that any strenuous physical activity involves certain risks and assume the risk of any and all accidents or injuries of any kind which may be sustained.

8.2. You release, discharge and absolve Go Gym, their officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates and subsidiaries from any and all liability or responsibility for any such accident or injury except to the extent that such accident or injury is caused or by results from the negligence of Go Gym, any of their officers, directors, employees and/or agents.

8.3. You agree that an induction is required for all equipment that you plan to use at Go Gym. You agree that it is your responsibility to book the induction before using the equipment and failure to take part in an induction means you are using the equipment at your own risk. You agree to ask a member of staff for assistance when using any equipment you am unsure of.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1 Go-Gym reserve the right to take photographs within the gym (which may include you, provided your inclusion is incidental) for press and promotional purposes provided we give reasonable notice.

9.2 Go-Gym may assign or transfer the benefit of this agreement and our rights under it to a third party at any time without notice to you. Except as permitted by this clause, the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 are excluded.

9.3 The relevant English Law applies to this agreement.

10. Membership Age

10.1 Members must be 16 years of age or over to have a full membership.

10.2 Junior membership is for children aged 12-15. These members must sign up with proof of age at Go-Gym with a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. The parent/guardian must sign a consent form and accompany/be responsible for the junior member. Junior members are not permitted to take part in classes (unless they are for under 16s) and Go-Gym recommends junior members do not use any free weights.

Go-Gym are committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. The following statement has been prepared to inform our customers of what information we collect and this is treated in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. What information do we collect?

When you complete the online membership agreement the following information is collected:-

  • Personal information such as name, email and postal addresses, date of birth, telephone number
  • Bank details however we do not store your bank details on our server
  • Your preferences and use on email updates that are recorded by emails we send you. This is applicable only if you have chosen to receive email updates on products and offers

How is the information used?

The information you have provided will be used for the purposes of administering your membership as well as for administration purposes and providing you with services or information that you have requested. In order to carry this out your information may need to be shared with associated agents and organisations together with our service providers.


At Go-Gym we use cookies to enable you to properly interact with our server. The cookie is used to identify you when you visit our web site. Cookies do not give us further access to your computer.

You are able to restrict the use of cookies on your computer by following your internet browsers instructions but disabling cookies to Go-Gym's website may restrict your access to certain services and/or facilities on our website.

Protecting your information

At Go-Gym we take seriously our requirements to protect your personal information. We use a secure server and ensure that the personal information you provide to us is kept secure and up to date. We only retain this information for as long as is necessary for the purpose it is used.

Disclosing your information to other parties

As stated above, we will only disclose your information with associated agents and organisations and our services providers. If we are required by law we may also need to disclose your information.

We do not pass your information to other organisations without your consent.


In providing us with your personal details, including the completion of the health questionnaire, you have consented to the collection and distribution of the information as set out within the privacy policy statement.

Access Rights

You have a right to ask for a copy personal information which we hold about you. Please write to us at the following address to obtain a copy of personal information Go-Gym holds about you: Go-Gym Limited, 6 Sutton Park Road, Sutton SM1 2NP. We will charge a fee of £10 to cover the administration cost.

Updating Privacy Information

We reserve the right to update the Privacy Policy Statement. If amendments are made the updated Privacy Policy Statements will be published on our website with a notice of the change and you will have been deemed to have accepted the changes.

When your personal details change please keep us informed by amending your details on the Go Gym website, or by notifying us by post.


Go-Gym Book Induction

Once your induction has been completed and you have been signed off by our admin staff you will be able to login and continue with your payment. A PIN number will be sent for your access to the gym when your payment is received.
